Here's a fun and delicious but cheap bridal shower favor idea that will have everyone smiling. I am always on the prowl for cute, creative but inexpensive shower favors that our guests will actually enjoy.. nothing beats this one, as who doesn't love homebaked cookies! Decorate them with these adorable heart shaped cookie cutters that are themed with the play on words - Cut Out For Love and you have a great bridal shower or anniversary or even wedding favor that everyone will love to bring home!

Let's get started. I found these cookie cutters online at American Bridal for cheap and ordered them. I was happy to see how cute they were when they arrived! Next, the fun starts.. you bake cookies, individually wrap them so they stay fresh and put them in a cellophane bag tied with ribbons. Attach the cookie cutters and then make a cute tag with the couple's picture on it. I liked the tag line "Cut Out for Each Other" better, but it's up to you! Our kids first did this as a favor at our 25th wedding anniversary party they gave for us. I took the idea and made them for a close friend's anniversary party as you can see in the photos below. I use Betty Crocker cookie mix in a pouch but I swear the secret to them is baking on parchment paper!

I simply took a photo, scanned it and then in Microsoft Publisher, I added the text and tied it around the bag of 5 cookies! How cute and for 25 of these creative bridal shower favors, it cost a grand total of $2.75 per favor - including the cookie cutter, cost to make the cookies, ribbon and bag! You can't beat that. Look for coupons for the cookies to get them for even less!
