One of our favorite graduation party decorations that we have always purchased is a big flag or banner from
the college the kids were attending. The flag is then displayed in a
prominent place for all to see. Here is one of our Michigan flags
adorning our porch for our daughter's high school graduation party.

Using college flags as decorations for your graduation party are more fun than balloons. All of ours took their flags to college to decorate their dorm rooms or off campus apartments. When they graduated college, they brought them back home and we used them to decorate for their college graduation celebration! These also make for unique graduation gifts. My dad, a fellow Michigan alumni, started our family on this tradition when he gifted our oldest daughter with this flag when she accepted her admission to University of Michigan.
