This is a fun graduation party idea.. make personalized graduation party decorations.
Why spend a lot of money on store bought graduation decorations when you can make them yourself using this simple graduation party idea. Celebrate all the places the graduate guests will be moving on to after high school. It could a college, a job, a year of volunteer service.. where ever it is they are going..let's congratulate them! I found these wooden painted rainbows for 30 cents a piece at Michael's craft store but have also seen them a lot of places. I made one for each graduate that was coming to our party. I added a little poem and with paint pen wrote where they were headed next fall. Then I hung them up all around the dining room where we were serving the food.
Both the kids and the parents loved them. On the top of the little card, I actually put the grad's name so that everyone could find their own. Plus it was fun for all the guests to see where everyone was headed from graduation. It couldn't be any easier or cheaper and it doesn't require any craft skills.. just a paint pen and a computer! If you can't find the wooden rainbows, stars would work or make them on card stock with rainbow clip art. Feel free to borrow my little poem. For a funnier idea, get all the moms together and make them. Then on the night before graduation "ring and run" the kids using these graduation party decorations. We did it for the girls field hockey team and it has since become an annual tradition!
