This is a great holiday table decorating idea that is perfect for any celebration. I love to color theme everything for whatever event we are celebrating. Knowing that my sister in law, Darcy sent me this idea. Decorate your table with ribbons.. she and her girlfriends did it for a baby shower they were hosting. However, it is a creative and fun idea for the holidays, 4th of July, a bridal shower or Easter! Here's how they did it.
Darcy shares her holiday table decorating idea: You need ribbon on rolls of 75 yds each. 5 strips down the length of table. 3 strips across the width. Plan on 24" drop over the edge of the table on the ends. At the intersections - ribbon strips were "woven" in - over and under. All was secured to table with double edge tape. The width strips were tucked under the table using double edge tap. I added some daffodils and blue candles and created a beautiful table for very little money. If you don't have a glass tabletop and are worried about taping onto a wood table.. use a solid color tablecloth on the table and add the ribbon treatment on top!
Look at that beautiful table! You can see on this picture how she trimmed and taped the two sets side ribbons under the table, while allowing the end ribbons to hang down. Can't you just picture doing this in pink, purple and yellow for Easter celebration, or red, white and blue for 4th of July or harvest colors for your Thanksgiving buffet table Thanksgiving buffet table or holiday colors for Christmas dinner table? How about using the graduate's school colors and decorating your graduation party table like this? And wouldn't it make for a beautiful bridal shower decorating idea Best of all, if the ribbon is not stained.. just re-roll it and save it for the next year!! Thanks to Darcy for sharing this great holiday table decorating idea.
