Finding an inexpensive graduation party favor is always a
challenge. This one is extra special as it is for the parents of the
graduates that are your party guests. Graduations can be bittersweet as
our kids go through the rite of passage from living at home to spreading
their wings and heading out on their own. This craft idea reminds us of
the adage that as parents we should strive to give our kids both roots
and wings! So this inexpensive graduation party favor for your fellow parents is greatly loved. Best of all, it is easy and cheap to make! The poem that goes with it is so special! One of my girlfriends loves her from so many years ago that she hangs it on her Christmas tree each year. Be sure to date the back of it when you gift it. You can paint them with school colors, add crafting tape to decorate further too. Use your imagination!
These birdhouses are the easiest graduation party favor ever. Buy small unfinished birdhouses. Ours were 3x5" and cost $1.00 at Michaels Craft stores. Spray paint them and glue on a little bird. We found these in the scrapbook section!
