Plan an Oscar party! What could be a more fun "Girls Night Out" than gathering all your special girlfriends together to watch the Academy Awards on Sunday March 7th. Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin are hosting this year, a funny pair for sure. Plus read that they are going to move the ceremony along a bit more quickly this year, so perhaps even the working girls can stay for the final award presentation! These ideas also make for a great Hollywood theme party any time of year!

Rachel Ray has some fun ideas to help you roll out the red carpet on Oscar night. I loved her idea of putting a red runner down the table and throwing some gold confetti. So simple and inexpensive, but adds to the ambiance of your Oscar festivities. Rachel always has a great supply of easy and delicious recipes. I have tried her Grilled 5 Spice shrimp and it is fabulous.
Another idea is to make mini-pizzas. Wolfgang Puck, the well-known chef and restauranteur, usually caters the post Oscar dinner for the nominees and is well known for his famous pizzas.
