A Post Wedding Brunch
...To Have or Have Not
A fun alternative to a post wedding brunch
A post wedding brunch for family and out of town guests is not a must but has become a customary tradition as part of the wedding plans. Here is a great idea for alternative "day after the wedding" fun.
A post wedding brunch for family and out of town guests is not a must but has become a customary tradition as part of the wedding plans. Here is a great idea for alternative "day after the wedding" fun. We celebrated our newly married couple the night after and were able to include all age groups with this fun idea! The wedding celebration continued for another full day.
"Clang, clang, clang goes the trolley.." We skipped the post wedding brunch idea for our daughter's Chicago wedding. My opinion is that most people are tired the morning after the wedding and most hotels offer a breakfast/brunch with the hotel room. Plus we wanted to give our guests a chance to explore Chicago that day, so I decided to plan something different.. a trolley ride around Chicago the evening after the wedding. If you can believe it, it turned out to be more economical than a formal brunch too! Here are the cute
trolley ride invitations
I made at home on the computer! I made matching t-shirts for our bride and groom celebrating their new status as "Mr. and Mrs." You can see them above. Here's
how to make your own t-shirts.
The trolley ride was perfect for all age groups.. we had ages 1 to 89 and all enjoyed it. We planned the route to give all a chance to see other parts of Chicago aside from the downtown area where they were staying. You know how I love party favors, so I had Chicago sippy cups made for all the guests! The trolley can be a bit bumpy..so everyone had these cups, along with covers and straws.. no spills for this group! I worked with Rich at bigpromotions.net to get these done and they were so reasonable. He also did our

What's a trip to Chicago without a stop at Wrigley Field, home to the Chicago Cubs baseball team. Our last stop was Navy Pier for their summertime fireworks display and then back to the hotel. It was a special evening filled with fun, friends and family!
