Need a fun Valentine Party Game for a class, Scout meeting or Sunday school Valentine's Party? Here is a clever one that was submitted to us by a Chicago teacher. She didn't invent the idea but it was given to her by another teacher and she has added to it as new candies were introduced. She has played this fun Valentine game for her classroom Valentine celebration with both her 1st and 3rd graders over the years and it is always a hit. Here's how she did it.
She thinks about each of her students and special traits that they have and then matches those very cleverly to a kind of candy with adorable awards. She brings the candy, with an award certificate she makes on her computer in for their class Valentine celebration. The kids sit in a circle and the holds up the candy, reads the award and lets a couple of students guess who she was thinking about for the award. My favorite example that she shared was the year she added Spree candy, and the award was for the class fashionista, who loves to go on shopping sprees! She says the kids just love it and each one feels so special. She has former students that stop in to see her on Valentines Day just to see what awards she came up with that year. It is a great Valentines party game for any group of children. She was kind enough to share her numerous candy awards, so it is easy for you to use this idea! So thanks to this very talented and caring teacher, who also happens to be my daughter!
