Look at these EASY BRIDAL SHOWER DECORATIONS from a friend's recent shower.. they were beautiful, festive and best of all EASY to make! They used our favorite decorating item - tulle. Tulle is a mesh, airy material that is inexpensive, easy to work with and comes in a multitude of colors. It is available on rolls in craft stores or by the yard in fabric stores. Here our hostess had draped it on her staircase, added bows for a pretty welcome as soon as we walked in the door!
This lettered banner was the focal point of the family room strung across the fireplace mantle. On the mantle were photos of the couple and the banner was decorated with tissue paper flowers on each end, tying in the pink and white color theme of this shower. They found both the tissue paper flowers and the banner on Etsy. I loved that the banner could have been personalized with the bride's name or with the couple's name if you were having a Jack and Jill shower like we had for our daughter.
The dessert table was just incredible and became an easy bridal shower decoration on its own! If you look carefully you can see how they used boxes under the tablecloth to create a layered display. We all loved the idea of cupcakes for desserts. This shower was in the New York metro area and these cupcakes had everyone buzzing.. they were not only beautiful but so delicious. For another of our bridal showers, look at how we created a dessert buffet of bite-sized bridal shower desserts here.
No stapling the gift bows to a paper plate at this shower! They had a plain straw hat and as the presents were unwrapped, the bows and ribbons were stapled onto the hat. Our bride wore hers to the rehearsal dinner! Here are some great ideas for adding decorated straw hats to your own shower. They make adorable bridal shower favors and even easy bridal shower decorations if you hang them around the room!
