Easy Ideas for your Graduation Party Menu

These graduation party food ideas are easy and inexpensive and can add some color and festivity to your graduation party menu.  Looking for some great graduation menu ideas? Here are some of our family favorites. We love to do dessert buffets in addition to the traditional graduation cake. These graduation party desserts are a perfect addition. Best of all you can add some color to your dessert table by making them in the school colors.. use the high school or college colors and you have themed to your desserts to reflect the graduate!

Our Favorite Graduation Party Food? Desserts, of course!

Add some fruit to your graduation party menu with chocolate dipping. These are strawberries I made for our 4th of July party.. so easy and you can adapt the colors. I used a combination of the colored chocolate candy molding disks and then dipping in colored sugar. Both of these are available in a rainbow of colors! Too hot at graduation for ice cream?  Turn the cones and an this cannoli recipe into an easy to eat graduation party dessert.. color theme the sprinkles to the graduates school!

Ice Cream Cone Cannoli..
15 oz Part-Skim Ricotta Cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoons orange rind (i didn't put this in mine)
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

8-10 sugar ice cream cones

With a wooden spoon mix ricotta, powdered sugar, (orange rind,) and vanilla until smooth. Add the chips and stir until evenly blended. Cover and refrigerate for an hour. Spoon mixture into ice cream cone. Pull from the fridge when you are ready to serve! We found this on Christine's Apron Adventure.. a creative blog!

Here is a cute idea for a graduation party theme.. Up, Up and Away you go.. you can color theme the balloons /cupcakes to the school colors!  This is especially adorable for a kindergarten graduation using a theme of Up Up and Away fun As you move to Grade 1.

Look at these adorable no-bake candy desserts - a really creative graduation party food idea. Simply use Reese's peanut butter cups, Andes thin mints, an M&M and some cake decorating icing. Color the tassels to your school colors! These are great cupcake toppers too!  One last idea... insert lollipop sticks ( one tip- dip the lollipop stick in a bit of frosting or melted chocolate before inserting into the Reese's cup) and you have Grad Cap POPs!  We thank Taste of Home for the recipe for this Easy Graduation Party Dessert.

Using applesauce or fruit cups.. add a cap from a 3 1/4" square piece of cardstock, tie on some ribbons, add a set of the google eyes and write whatever you want on the cap!.
