Graduation party invitations
are the first step to a great graduation party. There are lots of
options depending on your budget. You can order them online, download
free printable invites, buy them in a store or make them yourself or we have received quite a few via EVites which is an email invitation service.
Whichever way you go.. plan ahead and get your invitations out early.
I would always strive to be the first as it was the best insurance to
avoid duplicating dates with the kid's friends. Here are some creative
ideas for making invitations on your computer.
I made this invitation myself for our daughter's high school graduation party. Using free clip art and an Avery postcard template it couldn't be easier. I use their Gloss finish Postcards. Avery has a great website that can help with formatting when you purchase their products. You go on their site and download the templates. If you good on Publisher or Power Point, you could create your invite there and copy/paste it into the Avery template. You could even add a photo of your grad. You can see a larger version of pur graduation party invitations here. This is the most economical way to get your invitations.
No time or computer skills? Basic Invites is a great online resource for graduation party invitations, announcements and more.. you can design yourself! Check them out below!
For our son's college graduation, we planned a joint Dads and Grads celebration. We celebrated graduation and Father's Day with a backyard BBQ. It was a great success. We had a bocce ball tournament featuring The Dads vs. The Grads. A Cornole/Tailgate Toss tournament would have been perfect too. See how to play Cornhole here. It has become our family's favorite outdoor game.. from tailgates to bbq's to beach vacations. This idea was really fun for the Dads and Grads!
||Here are the Avery brand printable postcards we used for these two graduation party invitation. Multiple postcards come on an 8.5 x 11" page.. you simply print and using the perforations, fold and the cards come apart. We were surprised by how easily they separated and no rough edges.. they looked like they were professionally done! Best of all Avery has a whole section of templates that you can customize. You can print and put in an envelope OR send as a postcard! They even have a template for the back side!|
Another fun graduation party idea is to plan a Dads and Grads (and any golfing moms too) Golf Outing. We did this for my husband's 40th birthday party and it was a huge success. We then used it for both a high school and college graduation party for our sons! See how we did it here.
We used these Glo-Stick light up mugs as the party favors and made labels with the school logo for all the grads.. the after golf BBQ/graduation celebration/awards cermony was aglow! It was one of the best graduation party favors ever! Read more..
